Inuyasha is going to get a sequel/spin off soon. The title as announced by the production company Viz Media for the upcoming Inuyasha spin-off is Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. This anime spin-off will be set after the events of the Rumiko Takahashi’s Inuyasha franchise.
How Fans Are Reacting?
Rumiko Takahashi‘s Inuyasha is such a classic that its fans have almost gone extinct. You won’t see them much often these days. But as soon as the news of its new sequel was released, they rose from their coffins and blast on every social media platform they can get their hands on. From Twitter to Instagram, the news is storming all over the internet. The series made its television debut in 2000s, had a 167 episodes run, and has never been afterwards.
But with the new sequel/spin-off fans are excited to finally get more of their favorite anime. If there wasn’t a global lock-down, they would probably throw parties to celebrate the news.
What the Sequel is About?
Viz media describes the upcoming sequel as:
The daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time!
“In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.
Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.
Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.”
