In this article, we will talk about The God of High School anime which has just ended with a bang!

One of the most anticipated anime of the year 2020 “The God of High School” Anime Episode 1 aired on 6th of July. As you might already know that “The God of High School” is based on the popular webcomic (or manhwa) of the same name written by Yongie Park. MAPPA Animation Studio is in charge of its adaptation, the same studio which is about to bring the latest Attack on Titan Season to life.

How was the Ending?

So The God of High School has ended with episode 13 which was one of the most wholesome and hyped conclusion this season. The anime ended with a final bang and gave a fight sequence which will be a necessity in future AMVs. This fight will be used in most AMVs from now on. Because not only the power levels reached an insane level here. But also, the animation was as smooth as ever and the destruction level is just beyond repair at this point. We got to see that even after 3 months Korea was still in ruins.

In the episode, when it seemed like Jagel Taek is just unbeatable now after getting the key, we saw some flashbacks from Jin Mori’s memories. We got to see that he was part (or maybe leader) of that cult group. He had some kind of divine (GODLY

) powers which he then used to beat Jagel Taek to dust. In the end, after a marvelous fight sequence, Jegal Taek died, and the city was finally saved. We also got a glimpse of Jin Mori’s Grand Father who was captive and beaten brutally. A new character was also introduced, which was supposed to appear once the God of High School tournament was over. But, the chaos caused the event to end, and a character mistakenly awakened this new character. Which actually has some magical powers. Those powers were the reason that they were promising to grant ANY wish.

My Thoughts

Personally speaking, the facing may put you off when it comes to emotional arcs in this anime. But let’s be truthful to ourselves, are we watching the anime for an emotional ride? No, the whole focus in this show was/is on fights. They’ve been awesome right from the very first episode till the very last. Not only the martial arts element is great, but the GOD like power also adds to the wild fights that we get to see in the later half of the show. The author Yongie Park sure does have a wild imagination. But the main credit here, in my opinion, goes to Studio Mappa, for their brilliant choreography and direction in the fight scenes. Without their sincere efforts, the anime would fall flat. The fights scenes are so dynamic and vibrant that you just cannot take your eyes off of them.

What awaits them at the end of the tournament? A chaotic battle between unbelievably strong high school students is about to begin!”
