In 2014, Doraemon’s First Ever 3D computer-animated film “Stand By Me Doraemon” was released which became a massive hit among fans, reverently rehashing the character’s origin story and most popular adventures of Nobita and Doraemon.
On December 2019, Toho announced the sequel of 2014 CG anime film Stand By Me Doraemon, titled Stand By Me Doraemon 2.
This Sequel will be largely based on Doraemon’s 2000 short film Doraemon: A Grandmother’s Recollections.
Movie was about to release originally on 7th August, 2020 but due to COVID-19 Pandemic, It’s release date has been rescheduled to 20th November, 2020
TOHO released a New Trailer and a New Poster on 6th October. The trailer features film’s theme song “Niji” (Rainbow) by Masaki Suda.

The plot of the movie combines the short stories “All the Way From the Country of the Future”, “Imprinting Egg”, “Goodbye, Shizuka-chan”, “Romance in Snowy Mountain”, “Nobita’s the night Before a Wedding” and “Goodbye, Doraemon…” into a new complete story – from the first time Doraemon came to Nobita’s house to Doraemon bidding farewell to Nobita.
