What series solidified your love for manga/anime?

For me anime-wise it was fairy tail at a very young age. The characters captivated my Impressionable child mind (aka it was very colourful and my child brain prob hooked onto that LMFAO) As for manga, for a long time I wasn’t a manga reader. Then I discovered berk (berserk) and it changed me. The art style blew my fucking mind. Absolute cinema series and the reason I enjoy manga now. I ready way more manga than I watch anime now too Anyway though, I’d love to hear other peoples gateway series c:

For me i never watched anime i started watching naruto shipuden due to its hype (everyone in my class talked about it and some other famous anime) so i got fomo and i started watching it but soon got bored around pain arc and thought its not worth my time and my classmates are foolish just to agree internet hype and from then i never watched any anime. I was studious i got exhausted and wanted something new to read not just (phy chem maths) then i came across manhwa and the name of manhwa was (tight lady) it was an netorare manhwa i didn't saw any tags cause and i also didn't knew the meaning of ntr after reading that my heart got ache like damn wtfffff its so depressing then i started reading more of manhwa because it was colored and avoided manga because it was black and white and then i stumbled upon horimiya from there i started reading manga and left reading manhwa because it had colors but not good story as compared to manga....

"The Gamer" was my first, and while in retrospect it really wasn't that great, since It was my first it holds a special place in my heart. That got me into Webtoon, and once I heard from a friend that he was reading from a website that got them a month ahead and tons more than what Webtoon was offering, as well as Webtoon starting to go downhill with daily read series locks in place, I switched to M4L.

There was this Buddha manga that my father bought. This was my gateway to manga(I don't know if you can call it a manga though?). Also used to watch Pokemon but I only watched in on YouTube and due to copyright reasons most of the episodes on YouTube were a mix of Japanese, English and Spanish . So I only was ever able to watch bits and pieces. And Naruto officially solidified anime for me. This happened when I was around 14. I officially discovered manga a year after(on manganelo. Also called mangakalot). I didn't even know those things existed. And it blew my mind that the anime I was watching had an actual comic that it was adapted from

I'd say chainsaw man, Ever since i began reading it, i felt as if it was different from what i've read before, unlike detailed art style, the simple art style it had. Mostly called my attention What I liked mostly about it was the plot, the characters. Basically everything, no words to describe it but i fucking loved it

Dr. Stone. Then everything got boring for a while. Then I discovered Dog Nigga.

It was when I was very young, a friend had many Doraemon volumes and we would just read them over and over again so I'll say Doraemon

Cardfight Vanguard, Bakugan, Inazuma Eleven, and Beyblade were some of the main ones. But i rly LOVED watching anime movies. The detective Conan movies was my shit. Played both them and the Pokemon movies on repeat ALL DAY. As for manga, I switched from anime to manga for Noragami. And I realized how much better manga is versus anime. So ever since then I'd always choose manga as the main medium to experience a story.
