Ippo wasnt smashing the logs into the hills with just 1 hit, he was hitting them so much that eventually the logs were burried into the hills so he probably isnt hitting how hard you think he's hitting

Take the Martian - it was written to be as realistic as possible, yet Matt Damon is able to take his own fresh shit, without any processing whatsoever, any composting or breaking it down over time like one would normally do with human shit, and grow potatoes in Mar's radioactive dimataceous soil. And that he could survive for months at a time on a diet of like one potato a day and a tiny amount of water he made as a by product. Sometimes the needs of the story outweigh the reality it tries to convey.
