Guys, I don't think Luffy will be able to beat Imu until he's able to affect the sea when he uses gear 5. As we know, gear 5 is the awakening of Luffy's devil fruit. And I think that until Luffy is able to make his awakening affect the sea, he won't be able to defeat Imu. You see the sea 🌊 has incredible power and even though Imu is the king of the world, even he cannot directly Manipulate the Sea. Also the sea is an ancient power that has never been claimed. I believe that this is actually the barrier that Joyboy couldn't surpass and one that Luffy will, making him truly free and the freest.
