The price of having freedoms like gun ownership is personal responsibility. You have to own the fact that some people are going to abuse their privileges to do stupid shit. You let everyone carry a gun, some people are going to be stupid and hurt themselves. You let everyone have free speech, some people are going to lie and make up false information. You let everyone practice religion freely, some people are going to be stupid and join a cult. But even though all of these rights and privileges are inherently dangerous, I would still much rather have them be completely unrestricted. Its much more dangerous to let a government start telling you what you can and cant do.
