The 2019 hit Mind-Battle shonen anime The Promised Neverland Season 2 has been delayed due to the current pandemic crisis. The anime television series adaptation was announced in the 26th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump on May 28, 2018. The series premiered on January 11, 2019 and airs on Fuji TV’s late-night Noitamina anime programming block.
The Promised Neverland or Yakusoku No Neverland is the popular 12 episode shonen anime adapted from the manga of the same name by Kaiu Shirai which surprised everyone with its Death Note vibes in 2019. It was thrilling, suspenseful, with a lot of twists and turns, and a really compelling antagonist “Isabella”. Isabella is a kind and loving mother on the outside, and a messenger of the devil on the inside. She is raising a number of small kids in an orphanage, as they continue to live in their sweet little “La La Land”. One fine day, they discover the truth of the orphanage, that they are supplying children to demons to be eaten as their dinner.
The smartest of the kids Ray, Emma and Norman decide to flee from the orphanage along with other kids and have their freedom, as the orphanage was no less than a jail. Will they succeed? Will they be able to get out of the orphanage? What kind of hurdles are waiting for them outside?
